I've been a member of many hobby forums, and surprisingly, some of the most popular sub-groups have little to do with the specific topic. They usually have names like the back porch, the kitchen table, the gun counter...etc. It's a place for the community to grow and exchange stories, issues, gripes about teenagers (kids these days!) etc. At first glance it seems off-topic, but from my experience, it becomes the glue that holds the forum together over time. People with shared hobbies usually have shared interests. Just my .02 adjusted for inflation.

The Airhead Discussions topic was made for this kind of thing. If you can't figure out where else a topic fits, it goes here. If a common thread emerges, we'll scoop them all up and create a new forum in hopes discussion will continue in that direction. Not to mention making it easier to find common ground...
